About me.

H. Justin Lockhart

Media professional from Nassau, The Bahamas and living in Toronto for the past 13 years.

I, too bought into the Fyre Festival hype and started pitching it to one of my supervisors. However, I had a lot to do, or something, so I put it on the back burner... thankfully. May 'circle back' to it later though.

Someone once told me, "your head is full of useless facts", but I'm okay-ish at Jeopardy, so, ha! Fun fact about me.

Beyond riddling off "useless" facts, and strategizing how to best marry art and commerce, I've taken up reading again (I highly recommend "Man's Search for Meaning"). I also thoroughly enjoy going to any beach (yes, I did mention that I'm from the Caribbean).

I love discovering new genres of music, so send me the names of a few songs from your favourite. I don't really have one because, "I love all genres of music", as said by every millennial ever, but I have been consistently feeling, "Vienna" by Billy Joel these days (thanks to Netflix's "The Politician". P.S. Ryan Murphy is the greatest storyteller of all time).

I chose media as a career because it is the most influential industry (ever heard of the diamond engagement ring?), and has the power to leave an everlasting positive impact on the world - which at the end of my road, I hope to say I have done, if even in the tiniest of ways.

Throughout my day to day tasks, I remind myself that the work we do as media professionals not only impacts a business’ bottom line, or a consumer's wallet, but the way people perceive themselves and the world around them, which is a tremendous but exciting responsibility.

All that being said, while I don't have an all-time favourite genre of music or song, I do have an ad that I consider to be one of the best stories ever told, as it does exactly what I work to accomplish everyday: shift perspectives and make a positive contribution to the world.
